China Residencies has partnered with The Future of Memory to build a remote Residency for artists around the world around the theme of resisting and interrogating systems of algorithmic surveillance & control. These past three months, five artists from New York, Istanbul, Bangalore, and Melbourne have been working on developing their unique perspectives in documentary film, virtual reality, video performance, and technology building to expose the deep layers of discrimination and hegemony inflicted by algorithmic surveillance & control.
